Ladies Pink Button

February 2025 Update-State Convention Planning

General
Our 2025 State Convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville, 225 E Coastline Dr, May 23-25, 2025. We are fortunate that our convention will coincide with Jacksonville's Jazzfest! Our luncheon will mirror that theme.

Happy New Year, Ladies!

I believe our Grinchmas was a resounding success! Our charity for the Mid-Year meeting was Stirrups and Strides, hosted by our own Alanna Baxter. The beautiful and creative basket raffle brought in just over $1,000 to support this worthwhile equine therapy charity.

The State Convention
Our 2025 State Convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville, 225 E Coastline Dr, May 23-25, 2025. We are fortunate that our convention will coincide with Jacksonville’s Jazzfest! Our luncheon will mirror that theme. Learn more about the weekend at www.jacksonvillejazzfest.com

Baskets, baskets, and more baskets! Do you have a special talent? Do you have a knack for putting together a fabulous gift basket? Themes have ranged from new baby, reading and books, pet goodies, Italian dinners/wine, knitted items, COFFEE, crocheted items and quilted items, religious icons and
aids, photography, beach items, children’s items, original artwork, and so many others. There are no restrictions (other than being tasteful) and we love to see your talents. You don’t have to hold back with just one! We especially like to see those baskets put together by Columbiettes Auxiliaries! Please bring your donations to the Warden’s room Thursday night or Friday morning or directly to the LGP (Ladies Gathering Place) Friday afternoon.

The Ladies Luncheon will be on Saturday. And the theme this year is All That Jazz! Please feel free to dress in anything and everything relating to jazz music. How snazzy can you get? Feather topped slippers? Hats? Swinging skirts? As long as the item is tasteful and modest, the sky’s the limit!

Special note: Should you (and children, if you brought them) wish to attend the luncheon, your husband MUST sign up on your, behalf, to include children and pay during the registration process. Please remember this facility is a
hotel, not a restaurant, and must have an accurate headcount, especially for special meals, which include dietary restrictions and children’s meals. We will do our utmost to accept special circumstances, but cannot guarantee accommodation. Please check your badge (and children’s) upon registration to be sure it includes the ladies luncheon.

BINGO!! We will have something new for a pastime this year! There will be tables reserved for those who would like to play BINGO! Depending on the interest, games will be played Friday afternoon and, if there’s time, Saturday
morning.

Refreshments. If you are also a frustrated baker, we would welcome any items for Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. Please make a note if your items contain nuts or are gluten-free. Low-carb options are welcome as well (ie:
cheese or veggie platter, or low-carb baked item, yum!). If you’d like, I’m sure ladies would appreciate a recipe for something particularly delicious, either available through your phone or on a recipe card.

Have I left anything out? If so, please let me know and I’ll add an addendum.

On behalf of the Board (myself, Lisa Gizewski, Lisa Dahn, Peggy Rasch, Tina Sleyzak, and our IPSD’s wife, Lucie Urrutia), we look forward to seeing each and every one of you. Please look us up and introduce yourselves (sometimes again!)
