Council 10055 moves goods from warehouse to Pregnancy Centers

On Thursday, July 3oth, members of Council 10055 San Marcelino Champagnat, took on the challenge of moving pallets of donated product from the Archdiocese of Miami Charities center to the North Dade Pregnancy Center. While many were beginning to think of newly formed hurricane Isaias, the group was focused on the task at hand. The group arrived early in the morning with appropriate vehicles and energy and proceeded to load the product for the journey. The members included the council’s Deputy Grand Knight, Arturo Acuña, who headed the project, our Chancellor, Angel Troche and his ever present at council events, Mary, council members Pedro Perez-Roura and Jorge Milan. The group worked hard to load the goods appropriately and transport to the center and then unloaded at the target location. This was very well received as donations have truly dwindled at the center since the pandemic started but the need has not diminished. The council is very involved with the South Dade Pregnancy Center with assistance with their Baby Bottle campaigns, helping defray the costs of the technician, and some members being tutors in the Project Joseph Program, including the aforementioned DGK brother Acuña. Challenge accepted and completed. Pregnancy Centers Grateful for Knight Deli
