2021 Mid-Year Meeting Ladies Events

A message from Lucille Urrutia, Wife of Florida State Deputy

I am so excited for this December’s mid-year meeting to be held at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South, in Orlando, FL (4955 Kyngs Heath Rd, Friday, December 10 - Saturday December 11, 2021).

We have an exciting agenda for all the ladies in attendance.

We're super excited to bring back the traditional Friday night Cookie Exchange. The cookies should be homemade and please bring at least 2-3 dozen.  Also it would be a huge help if you would advise if cookies contain any of the following allergens: Peanuts, Tree nuts, Dairy, Gluten. We ask you to kindly bring 15-20 copies of your recipe to share.

Also, in keeping with tradition, we will once again be holding the Angel Auction. All proceeds for the Angel Auction will go towards Vocations.  We will also do a 50/50 with those proceeds going toward Special Olympics. Tickets go on sale Friday night at the cookie exchange.  Winners will be announced at the Saturday morning Ladies Appreciation breakfast.  You must be present to win.

This year we are also having a Christmas sweater contest on Friday night. 2 categories to be judged —
— ugliest Christmas sweater
— most creative sweater

Saturday morning we will have Mass. The Ladies Appreciation breakfast will follow about 15 minutes after mass.

After breakfast the auction winners and 50/50 winners will be announced.  Then Lisa Dahn, the wife of our charities director will conduct a fun Christmas Ornament Craft activity.

Special Note:  Ladies, we are to follow the dress code adopted by Supreme. Please, no
sweatpants/sweatshirts, t-shirts with logos or jeans are to be worn Saturday morning for Mass, breakfast, or any other Knights activities to be held on this or any meeting weekend. I know a dress isn't everyone's top choice. So dress slacks with a pretty blouse works great. I also ask no sneakers or flip flops please. We always have a Supreme representative visiting at each meeting. I would like to show them how proud the wives of Florida State Council Knights of Columbus are to stand by our husbands and dress appropriately.

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and your families from Rob and me. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you in December.
