Council 16236 Silver Rose Mass and Prayer Service
The Silver Rose returns to Incarnation on Friday, July 23!
The Silver Rose Pilgrimage is a Knights of Columbus tradition started by Columbian Squires of Council #2312 (Monterey, Mexico), which ran a rose from the International Bridge in Laredo to Monterey to commemorate St. Juan Diego and the role of the roses in the devotion of Our Lady of Guadalupe. While a real rose was used in 1960, today silver roses are carried along routes across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
A special 6:30pm Mass on Friday, July 23 will be followed by the Silver Rose prayer service, which will include the Rosary (Glorious Mysteries), an Act of Consecration from St. John Paul II’s Evangelium vitae, and the Litany of Loreto. Join us “to pray for respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation, and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe.”
The prayer service can be found at https://www.kofc.org/en/resources/faith-in-action-programs/life/silver-rose/4841-silver-rose-prayer-service-booklet.pdf.
